The Information Security Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective information security program to protect the organization's information systems and assets from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. The position requires a strong understanding of information security principles, compliance regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets within the organization.

In addition, compliance with the regulations of the newly released Digital Operational Resilience Act will be part of the job. As DORA requires as well the awareness and control of outsourcing partners in the Information and Communication Technology sector (ICT) the incumbent will be responsible for the outsourcing management and reporting as well. Finally, the ISO/DORA-Officer shall serve as the internal counter-part for our client's external data-protection officer.

Aufgaben
  • Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards: The ISO/DORA Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and standards that align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices and take group requirements into account as well. This includes creating security policies that define the minimum-security requirements for the organization, such as password policies, access control policies, and incident response policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests: The Information Security Officer is responsible for conducting regular security assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's information systems. This includes the management and organization of vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses, which are conducted in concert with other group entities by third party providers. Security assessments have to be conducted to identify gaps in the organization's security posture.
  • Monitor network and system logs, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies: The Information Security Officer is responsible for organization and management of monitoring network and system logs, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner. This includes reviewing logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents, investigating incidents to determine the root cause and extent of the incident, and responding to incidents to contain the incident and prevent further damage. The bank has outsourced network and system monitoring to a third-party provider.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations: The Information Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other data protection laws. This includes understanding the requirements of these regulations, developing policies and procedures to comply with the regulations, and ensuring that the organization is implementing and maintaining the policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees: The ISO/DORA Officer is responsible for conducting security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization. This includes creating training materials, delivering training sessions, and monitoring employee compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and other business units: The ISO / DORA Officer is responsible for collaborating with IT and other business units to provide security guidance and support for new technology deployments and business initiatives. This includes reviewing new technology deployments to identify potential security risks, providing guidance on security best practices, and ensuring that security is considered in all business initiatives.
  • Manage third-party security assessments and vendor risk management processes: The ISO/DORA Officer is responsible for managing third-party security assessments and vendor risk management processes to ensure that external partners are compliant with organizational security policies and standards. This includes – as part of the DORA framework - conducting security assessments of third-party partners, reviewing their security policies and procedures, and ensuring that they are implementing and maintaining the policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an incident response plan and conduct regular tabletop exercises: The ISO/DORA Officer is responsible for maintaining an incident response plan and conducting regular tabletop exercises to test and improve the plan's effectiveness. This includes developing and maintaining the incident response plan, conducting tabletop exercises to simulate security incidents, and identifying opportunities to improve the plan based on the results of the exercises. Within the business continuity management responsibilities the ISO/DORA Officer will be a major stakeholder to maintain and regularly test the functioning of the bank’s Disaster Recovery Office.
Qualifikation
  • The successful candidate has a deep and profound understanding of IT / ICT which
  • Several years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 requirements, BAIT regulations and general compliance requirements of a regulated banks are required to a certain extent, whereas deeper knowledge of MA-Risk and/or DORA are an asset.
