Our client is a renowned financial institution with a strong tradition of excellence and innovation in the financial services industry. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, governance, and ethical business practices. Therefore we are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our client's team as the Head of Corporate Development & Governance.

As the Head of Corporate Development & Governance, you will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding our compliance, governance, and corporate development strategies. You will be responsible for addressing key issues in MaRisk-Compliance, ESG-Compliance, Governance, and Financial Crime. Your expertise will ensure our operations are aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization.

Tasks
  • Compliance Management: Lead and manage the MaRisk-Compliance and ESG-Compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Governance: Develop and implement robust governance policies and procedures, ensuring transparent and effective corporate governance practices.
  • Financial Crime Prevention: Oversee and enhance our financial crime prevention measures, including anti-money laundering (Geldwäsche) protocols.
  • Corporate Development: Drive strategic initiatives that promote corporate growth and development, working closely with senior management and the Vorstandsstab.
  • Internal Controls: Strengthen internal control mechanisms to safeguard the organization against risks and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience: long term experience in corporate development, board support, compliance, money laundering prevention, or internal control units within a financial services company.
  • Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of MaRisk-Compliance, ESG-Compliance, governance frameworks, and financial crime regulations.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in German and English.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
