Consultant (m/f/d) for automated server provisioning using DSC

Service description:
Consulting and support for DSC development as the main point of contact for architects responsible for various trades such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), SQL, SharePoint and software packaging. The goal is to provide a robust and efficient server infrastructure by using DSC to fuel mobile data centers. Working closely with the architects, we ensure that the DSC solution meets the requirements of each site while producing consistent, high-performance code.


Tasks:

  • Advise and support architects in the development and implementation of Desired State Configuration (DSC) solutions for automated provisioning of server infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the architects of various trades including Identity and Access Management (IAM), SQL, SharePoint and software packaging to understand the requirements and objectives for the DSC based infrastructure.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of consistent DSC scripts and configurations to ensure consistent and performant deployment of server infrastructure.
  • Analyze and optimize existing DSC configurations to continuously improve the efficiency and performance of the deployed server infrastructure.
  • Train and share knowledge with the architecture team to promote understanding of DSC best practices and ensure solutions meet requirements and standards.
  •  Actively participate in meetings and discussions to clarify requirements, present technical solutions and provide feedback


Qualification requirements:

1. Language skills: German: Level C1 and English Level B1 - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR

2. Experience in the development and implementation of DSC configurations in complex environments.

3. Understanding of the functionality of IAM, SQL, SharePoint and software packaging is an advantage

4. Knowledge of best practices and standards in DSC development.

5. Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts.

6. Analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize DSC configurations.

7. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.
