Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer/Associate for our Practice in Natick, MA. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems (., foundations, retaining walls, excavation support systems, levees, dams, slopes, and frequently the preparation of repair/mitigation concepts. 

You will be responsible for

Conducting field inspections and subsurface explorations Performing geotechnical and civil engineering analyses Assisting with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems Preparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems 

You will have the following skills and qualifications

. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university or . in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university plus 5 years' experience Degrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineering a strong plus Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work in a fast paced environment, and effective leadership skills Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients Ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources (., field investigations, document reviews, and interviews) and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software a strong plus This is a Natick-based position. The successful applicant must live (or be willing to relocate) in the Natick area AND be enthusiastic about regularly working in the office. We provide relocation assistance.
