Job Description
The Project Director of Cost Management will be responsible for managing the cost on complex and large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will have experience in the Data Centre sector and will be responsible for delivering successful projects that meet our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the cost of large-scale construction projects from the Data Centre sector. Develop cost management strategies and plans that align with our clients' needs. Work with clients to establish project budgets, identify cost savings opportunities, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Build and lead project teams of cost management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed. Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, cost plans, and cost reports. Monitor project costs against the budget, identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions as required. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
Qualifications
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation from a relevant professional body (, SCSI, RICS) is a plus. Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost management, with a track record of managing large-scale construction projects, experiences in data Centre construction projects. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes as required. Knowledge of industry-standard cost management software tools. Fluent English skills; German language is a plus.
