Export Control is part of the Legal & Compliance department. From the analysis and control of sanctions and export control law developments, export control with corresponding license management, we also monitor processes relating to anti-trust and anti-money laundering.
The following tasks are part of a motivated team:
Independent export control classification of goods* (goods, technology and software) in accordance with AWG/AWV, EC Dual-Use Regulation according to US export law EAR/ITAR, with the involvement of relevant specialist departments (e.g. purchasing, development) Independent evaluation and adjustment of existing classifications in relation to legal changes and innovations, e.g. regular adjustments to the goods lists (export list, annexes to the EC Dual-Use Regulation and EU embargo regulations, US goods lists, etc.) Independent plausibility check and evaluation of incoming export control classifications of our suppliers as well as corresponding documents (e.g. technical drawings, data sheets, etc.) relevant for the independent export control classification of our goods as well as ensuring proper and complete documentation in the corresponding IT systems Communication with the responsible authorities (e.g. BAFA, BIS, etc.), e.g. obtaining information on the list of goods (AzG) Support and advice on export control classifications throughout the entire product life cycle and coordination with internal and external stakeholders on classification issues and in projects Participation in the conception, implementation and adaptation of training and communication measures relating to the export control classification of goods (goods, technology and software) as well as support with questions on export control classification, e.g. during audits and inspections by authorities) Participation in internal and cross-divisional projects, e.g. new and further development of processes, methods and interface processes relevant for an effective and efficient export control classification of goods (goods, technology and software)Becoming part of Mercedes-Benz means finding the area of responsibility in which you can develop your individual talents. Qualifikationen Completed university education ((industrial) engineer, technician, software developer or similar) and/or several years of relevant specialist professional experience Very good knowledge of electrical engineering/mechanical engineering and/or software development Experience in dealing with and interpreting legal texts First practical experience in the export control classification of goods according to AWG/AWV, EC Dual-Use Regulation and ITAR/EAR is an advantage Ideally knowledge of development and product life cycle processes Ideally good user knowledge of SAP ERP (SAP GTS) and MS Office Willingness to be trained and continuously educated with regard to new legal requirements and the resulting need for process adjustments Very good written and spoken German and English (especially technical English) Independent, conscientious, analytical and results-oriented way of working Very good communication skills to convey even complex technical and legal issues in a generally understandable way Strong ability to work in a teamAdditional information:
