Work alongside your team in the Indirect Tax Services sector, providing expert advice to our clients on all matters related to national and international sales tax law, as well as customs, foreign trade, export control, and excise tax law.
Your Responsibilities
Are you ready to leverage your expertise in national and international sales tax law to strategically support the Indirect Tax Services area? Here’s how you can contribute:
- Provide guidance and support to national and international clients on all aspects of customs, foreign trade, and export control law.
- Take charge of comprehensive consulting and project management across various initiatives, including the implementation of compliance management systems in customs and export control.
- Advise our clients on efficient organizational structures and processes.
- Manage corporate spin-offs and mergers with respect to customs and foreign trade implications.
- Assist in external audits conducted by customs authorities.
- Support our clients in legal remedies and litigation processes, including collaboration with KPMG Law when necessary.
- Engage in internal and external acquisition activities, including presentations and publications.
- To become a (Senior) Customs & Trade Manager with us, you should hold a degree in Public Finance from the Federal Customs Administration or in Business or Law with a focus on European Economic Law, International Law and Business, or Tax Law.
- You should have several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in relevant areas within customs administration, industry, or consulting firms.
- Demonstrated expertise in customs, foreign trade, and export control law is essential.
- Experience in team leadership is preferred.
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications is required.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
- A strong client-oriented approach and enthusiasm for acquisition are important.
- Willingness to travel is also expected.
