You would own responsibilities that may include:
Provide advice on relevant financial services and payments laws and regulations Manage regulatory requests and filings Lead legal regulatory reviews for strategic deals and contracts in EMEA Monitor regulatory developments in EMEA (e.g. MICA, e.g. DORA) and advise on its impact to BitGo Support ongoing compliance obligations and respond to regulatory changes and developments Provide advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory matters in EMEA Escalating issues to senior team members as appropriate. Pitching in whenever and wherever needed, even when not directly related to responsibilities described above.Your experience and skill set will cover many of the following:
Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (passed first and second state exam) 2+ years PQE experience in a top-tier law firm with exposure to international legal systems and ways of doing business and/or in-house legal experience at an international financial services company. Practical experience interfacing with BaFin, Bundesbank and external auditors Ability to balance multiple tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to assess and balance legal risks against business interests. Preference for a candidate with interest in blockchain and digital assets.
