We’re looking for Purchasing Manager to join our Group Procurement team from one of our UK offices.
Leading a team of Purchasing Experts, you will be responsible for guiding and empowering them to execute operational procurement activities efficiently.
You will be playing a key role in managing the company's supply chain effectively by executing strategic sourcing initiatives. This includes identifying cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and optimizing procurement processes. You will overseeing the flow of materials, information, and finances from suppliers to customers, ensuring continuity of supply while minimizing costs and risks.
Our Team
Group Procurement sets guidelines, rules and policies for procurement at Bauer Media Group and provides respective services to all business areas and units of the group by negotiating contracts, running requests for quotations and providing purchasing services as well as supporting all major projects with procurement expertise. Group Procurement consists of teams in Hamburg and Peterborough.
This is a Hybrid role that supports a balance of working from home and one of our UK based offices.
What you’ll be doing
Lead, manage, train, and develop a talented team of Purchasing Experts. Develop efficient processes aligned with purchasing objectives and KPI’s. Support and lead the team to identify potential suppliers. Identify opportunities for process improvements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain. Provide clarifications and dispute resolution. Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships and implement strategies to enhance vendor partnerships Assist implementing Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria to procurement.What you’ll Bring
Degree in fields such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related Proven track record in purchasing or procurement Deep understanding of operational procurement Sourcing Proficient in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint & ERP / SAP4HanaExpiry date: 10th July 2024
