Social Media Manager (m/f/d)

Purpose:

Create, drive, and lead the global brand TikTok strategy, content & ongoing guidance for how we land brand campaigns, category activation and key sport/culture/reactive moments across TikTok (paid & organic). Focus on @adidas TikTok, emerging social channels & provide leadership during reactive/trend led moments for global brand across platforms. Lead content creation to ensure engaging publishing plans and experiences which drive conversation both one to one and at scale, and connect to adidas’ wider social & digital ecosystem, including .com/app and membership when relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, driving, and leading the digital publishing channel strategy & publishing for @adidas TikTok.
  • Own and operate the global brand channel TikTok @adidas channel (calendar, roll out, content creation, content repurposing, publishing, community management, social listening)
  • Inform and educate on fit for platform & on content toolkits for @adidas TikTok channel for all priority brand campaigns, category, and key city activations. E.g., work with Business Units & Markets to deliver content for @adidas TikTok during all brand calendar and major reactive moments.
  • Inform always-on content franchises with focus on TikTok (and ability to scale across social touchpoints)
  • Manage and moderate adidas’ social communities, and work with Customer Service to ensure the best possible consumer experience on any social media touch point.
  • Inform and guide community managers in global brand, market, and categories on how we do/don’t respond on social.
  • Lead clear and frequent communication to market/category social teams on global brand social strategy & plans. And incorporate feedback.
  • Lead and inform governance and guidance for partner publishing TikTok content briefs.
  • Partner with internal teams to achieve business goals through end-to-end campaign planning and execution across social media.
  • Work with broader Global Brand Comms team, sports marketing, and culture marketing – to maximize the publishing mix for all campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Create best in class consumer journeys by connecting social media experiences to adidas digital experiences.
  • Ensure all campaigns and content are fully tagged and tracked to support measurement and advanced analytics efforts.
  • Support the Senior Director and Director of Social to drive on-going innovation and best practice.
  • Work with Senior Manager Social Strategy to identify, test, learn and lead the brand with new, relevant social media products and emerging channels.
  • Help educate the team to raise the level of knowledge and understanding of social media marketing and its potential.
  • Identify platform trends and consumer behavior and feed the insight back into social media output and the wider team.
  • Achieve on target, on time, in full and in budget results.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Creative, collaborative, and confident
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and high level of strategic thinking
  • High understanding of owned channel and paid social landscape.
  • Advanced experience with all major social media networks: Facebook / Instagram, Google / YouTube, Snapchat, with a focus on TikTok etc.
  • Keen understanding of the wider publishing mix: owned, earned, and paid.
  • Naturally curious and motivated by the ever-changing world of digital and mobile.
  • Broad understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion / entertainment industry
  • Advanced presentation and organizational skills
  • Understand the Editorial process.
  • Copywriting skills

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field
  • 4+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
