The role
As the Vice President of Product Management, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our SaaS product suite. You will lead the product management team with a focus on strategic planning, product innovation, and market leadership and ensure execution from discovery to delivery. Your expertise in product management within the insurtech or fintech sectors will be instrumental in driving our products from conception to launch, ensuring they not only meet market needs but also exceed customer expectations.Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for our suite of solutions, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and business goals and tech strategy. Lead, mentor, and expand the product management team to support growth and foster a high-performing product capability and drive an innovative culture, especially through times of change. Drive differentiation in our products by creating a future vision and roadmap, drive strategies for large, ambigous product areas, and guide your teams on how to maximize the impact of those strategies by using data and research to create effective execution. Engage closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver products that align with customer and user needs, technical capabilities, and market demands. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends and leverage emerging technologies effectively. Collaborate with key stakeholders and senior management/board to define product priorities and timelines, ensuring effective product lifecycle management and timely delivery of features. Serve as a key spokesperson for product-related communications internally as well as representing the company at customer and industry events. Drive innovative ideas and solutions in the insurance technology space, focusing on usability, scalability, and impact. Manage product-related budgeting and forecasting, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated for optimal return on investment. Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team at Xempus, contributing to the overall company strategy.
What we are looking for
10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role ideally within the insurtech, fintech, or a related technology sector, for B2B or B2B2C products. Proven track record of building up a worldclass product management function with successful product launches and management across multiple cycles. Strong knowledge of modern data-driven product management tools and methodology and application thereof, thinking in a customer-centric way. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive teams to achieve high performance also in times of change and uncertainty. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with executives, engineers, and customers alike. Excellent conceptual skills as well as analytical and strategic thinking skills Fluent in English, German is a plus
