The role will be the main financial leader in the business.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the Finance and Operations teams in developing and executing a comprehensive financial strategy, leveraging experience in M&A to align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic goals and align financial plans with the company's vision.
  • Lead and manage the finance team, including setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
  • Support management in fundraising activities for future growth, including identifying potential investors, presenting the company's financial position and growth plan, negotiating term sheets, managing the due diligence process, and coordinating the organisational aspects of the funding round.
  • Develop and implement a robust risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, regularly evaluating financial procedures and controls to ensure resilience against economic fluctuations, market volatility, and regulatory changes.
  • Work closely with the People & Culture team, monitoring their initiatives and ensuring alignment with company goals and values to enhance employee experience and organisational performance.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve efficiency and drive growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to build and lead an effective finance team and contribute to strategic operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including investors and board members.
  • Proven experience in leading People & Culture functions or collaborating closely with the HR team.
  • Extensive experience in leading investment rounds and M&A transactions. IPO experience is a significant plus.
