As Category Manager / Product Manager (Laptop Batteries & Powerbanks), you’ll be responsible for managing and driving the sales growth of your product category across subtel’s webshops and on Amazon.
Your tasks will include:
- Analysing sales and product trends, our competition, as well as e-commerce customer demand
- Developing and maintaining pricing strategies for products within our target markets
- Scouring the internet for new online marketplaces, attending trade fairs, and working with existing suppliers to develop products that meet our customers’ needs
- Working with our purchasing team to source suitable products that fulfill the niches you have identified through your research
- Providing clear direction to the content, graphic design, and photography departments to ensure that item descriptions, packaging, and instruction manuals properly reflect the product and our brand
- Responsibility for the sales and profitability of your product categories
- Creating regular, detailed plans and forecasts for your category
- Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, including purchasing, quality management, graphics, content, and marketing departments, to implement your category strategies across the whole organisation
Our wishlist for the ideal candidate includes:
- A relevant university degree or comparable training
- At least two years of professional experience in category management, product management, or purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment
- Expertise, experience, and a personal interest in photography & video technology products, preferably as a product or category manager
- Excellent written and spoken English
- You think analytically and have strong problem-solving skills
- You have a high sense of responsibility and project management skills
