Description
The Financial Analyst will create and monitor various reports to help P&L managers better understand their business unit. The financial analyst will work with the CEO and CFO to create reports and analyze them. This position will also work on special projects as needed.
Requirements Create various operational reports by department and location and distribute to the Managers Work with P&L department managers to help them understand how operational choices impact the financial statements. Support the management team and Department Leaders with data-driven analysis. Drive efficiency through process improvements, including constant update, revision and creation of financial models, templates, and planning process. Performs other analysis projects when needed Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Required to adapt to changing priorities based on issues at hand. Strong communication and presentation skills. Apply business experience to assist CEO and top managers formulating effective strategies. Knowledge of finance, accounting, and strategy practices. Effectively gather data, reconcile, and consolidate to assist in the interpretation of variances from forecast, KPIs, etc. to help identify over-performance and under-performance for a reporting period, especially relating to sales, expenses, profit margin, and cash flow. Evaluate estimating tools against WIP reports to determine Price and Quantity Variances. Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts. Ad-hoc business performance reporting. Present the monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments. Implement dashboard reports. Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.Qualifications:
Accounting Degree + five years of accounting experience Superior spreadsheet skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Possess strong skills in organization and be able to prioritize tasks Ability to analyze and solver problems Occasional travel will be required Take an online FP&A Program-
