Sustainability is a fundamental principle of our business activities and at the same time a benchmark for our corporate success. We therefore also want to play a leading role in the area of sustainability by integrating energy and environmental aspects as well as the social impact of our actions into our business strategy.
Our department makes a significant contribution to the company's sustainable actions. This is where Group-wide energy and environmental issues are coordinated. Among other things, this includes analyzing environmental policy developments with regard to products and production and developing appropriate strategic options for the company. Our department is responsible for sustainability, Group energy management and Group environmental protection.
In the Group Energy Management team, we are responsible for numerous energy-related issues, energy management, climate protection management (CO2 balancing, emissions trading, etc.) as well as various legal and overarching issues (e.g. also Group reporting).
As a centralist in the area of energy data management at Mercedes-Benz, you will be at the center of the transformation of our sustainability efforts. With the introduction of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), we are facing extensive changes in the way we measure and report our energy and environmental performance.
Their main task will be to accompany the collection, verification and application of water, energy and CO2 data. These indicators are not only the backbone of our sustainability scorecard, but are also of immense importance for achieving our environmental targets and for our reporting in the Sustainability Statement.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Collaboration in the energy data management processes of the Mercedes-Benz Group AG locations worldwide Checking the water and energy parameters of the locations with regard to data completeness, quality and plausibility Creation of a CO2 footprint of Mercedes-Benz production worldwide according to various accounting standards Preparation of a water footprint of Mercedes-Benz production worldwide according to various accounting standards Clarification of methodological and accounting issues in water, energy and CO2 reporting Determining the KPIs for our sustainability scorecard and the associated corporate targets of Mercedes-Benz Group AG Participation in the preparation, implementation and action tracking of worldwide data audits Qualifikationen Natural science or technical studies with a focus on energy management, energy technology, sustainability or a comparable degree program with a clear focus on energy Confident knowledge of German (at least C1) and written and spoken English (at least B2) Confident handling of MS Office, in particular MS Excel Analytical mindset as well as independent and strategic/structured way of working Commitment and ability to work in a teamAdditional information:
