Our client is seeking a Banking Operations Specialist with a minimum of 5 years experience in payments operations. Key responsibilities include managing banking transactions, performing AML controls, and contributing to regulatory compliance and process improvements.

Description

  • Ensure the management of banking operations such as payments, fund transfers, account-to-account transactions, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions, including tracking orders until their finalization.
  • Perform first level AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks on incoming and outgoing fund movements.
  • Analyze, process, and respond to user inquiries.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of service developments by suggesting process improvements to reduce risks and contribute to the drafting of specific work procedures for the activity.
  • Contribute to the analysis and implementation of regulations applicable to the service activity (Instant Payment, ISO 20022, CBPR+) as well as payment-related projects.
  • Participate in working groups and payment industry forums such as ABBL, ALMUS, and SWIFT, if necessary.
  • Carry out necessary documentary follow-up tasks and controls.

Profile

  • Have a minimum education level of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Management
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in this field or in a similar role
  • Possess a deep knowledge of payment processes and their infrastructures (SEPA, Target, etc.)
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Windows office tools
  • Familiarity with Avaloq would be a plus
  • Ability to quickly understand and adapt to work methods
  • Be rigorous, organized, and flexible
  • Demonstrate initiative, dynamism, and strong communication skills
