Core capacity engineer

Role description:
As Core capacity assurance & dimensioning engineer you will be responsible to ensure Rakuten Core network nodes are operating with the optimum capacity through efficient dimensioning and forecasting, discover opportunities for enhancements and drive stakeholders for the needed actions.
- Be the domain expert, use your technical knowledge to extract information from different data sources to ensure the needed capacity and dimensioning for the Core networks.
- Own Network Capacity and search for enhancements opportunities.
- Initiate streams with all needed stake holders including marketing-technology partners-vendors to ensure proper alignment for needed network resources.
- Forecast the needed factors (registered subscribers-traffic.) E2E.
- Create daily/weekly/monthly reports about network capacity utilizationstatus.
- Create executive dashboards to be presented in front of management
- Assess new features/major activities from capacity point of view and effect on KPIs.
- Daily Monitoring for Core nodes utilizations including trend tracking and troubleshooting if changes observed and follow the escalation process.
- Be both quantitative and qualitative, and able to quickly understand and assess complex issues to take the right decision and escalation.
- Be a role model to the team members when it comes to ownership, proactivity and taking responsibility
Profile :
- 8+ years experience in mobile telecom field
- Experience working in IMS/EPC/charging and policing, RCS is a plus.
- Experience in Network dimensioning and design.
- Experience in Nokia/Cisco and Mavenir products.
- Strong experience in capacity forecasting tools.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Programing Experience (Python)
- Bigdata analysis experience
- Project management experience
- Experience working on multiple products/projects in parallel
