Aufgabenbeschreibung
The Nuclear Engineering Software Developer position is within the Neutronics Codes & Methods Development team in the Fuel Business Unit which is responsible for a broad range of activities including engineering code development and maintenance, licensing report development and submittal, and first-of-a-kind core design and subsequent neutronics analyses. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide.
You will be responsible for creating new or revising existing engineering software packages that are used to perform the engineering work which support our customer’s licensing analyses. Typical assignments include:
Working with other engineering teams to define new software requirements Program new or revise existing tools that (1) simulate the physical phenomena occurring in a nuclear plant or (2) automate data analysis and visualization workflows for engineers Perform testing to verify and validate software performance in accordance with quality assurance procedures Provide input to High Performance Computing (HPC) system hardware needs to support engineering activities Optimize software runtime performancewe offer:

Anforderungen
Requirements:
Master in Nuclear Science and Engineering, or comparable university degree Experience in spectral codes and reactor simulators is an advantage Experience in the development and deployment of scientific, engineering, or data analysis software applications, preferably for High Performance Computing (HPC) Linux systems Knowledge of and able to apply software engineering best practices with respect to design, version control, testing, debugging, and documentation Ability and attitude to learn a variety of new procedures, processes, and tools while maintaining projects in various stages of production. Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN Experience in Data Science Display positive and effective team interaction
