About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a high-voltage switchgear design tool (CAE). This is a key role in our Grid Technologies Business Unit, where you will work closely with our Product Management team to design and implement new features and functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software tools for high-voltage switchgear design
- Collaborate with development teams to identify new requirements and features
- Define design and architecture of new functions and features
- Ensure high-quality code and documentation
- Implement new functions, modules, and features, including testing and documentation
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a software developer or comparable role
- Longstanding experience working in an agile development team and solution architects
- Senior knowledge in C#/C++ and web interface designs
- Experience with CAD interfaces developments for NX, AutoCAD
- Proficiency in DevOps tooling such as Azure CI/CD Service, Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Jfrog
- Fluency in both spoken and written English, knowledge of German on B1 level and any other language is a plus
