Payload System Manager (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

Lead a team of Payload engineers, assign tasks and priorities in coordination with the project needs Act as a main interface toward the customers for technical and programmatic aspects concerning the Payload Perform sub-systems and systems architecture trade-offs and performance analysis Interact directly with suppliers, reviewing unit level performance and interfaces for suitability and assess impacts to payload level performance, regular travel to supplier facilities Coordinate with the Payload System Engineers team and the Satellite AIT Manager for ensuring adequate preparation and execution of the full payload and satellite test campaign Coordinate within the project System areas (Thermal, Mechanical, AIT, SW, Test Systems Experts; EMC, etc.) Perform and review of Payload tests in ground (IFT, TVAC, CATR, FFT) and in orbit; Support the Systems Engineering Team in the standardisation and improvement processes Support and manage to future programs and proposals being responsible for the complete payload architecture

Your Qualifications

Degree in telecommunications, electronics, microwave, electrical, aerospace engineering or comparable discipline Experience in payload engineering in the space industry Capable to interact within a cross-functional technical team Experience in signal generation electronics, High/Low power RF engineering is an asset Various levels of working experience considered, space industry preferred Excellent organization, prioritization and communications skills Fluency in written and spoken German and working level proficiency in written and spoken English, other EU language skills advantageous Security Clearence may be required
