What you`ll do
Our highly skilled team members, based in Potsdam, serve as one of the key drivers behind our ability to democratize AI and bring cutting-edge solutions to our customers. As part of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the broader AI ecosystem while working with advanced technologies and tackling real-world problems at the intersection of AI, cloud, and DevOps. Our focus is the integration of our AI offering into all enterprise applications of our broad portfolio to empower our customers to maximize the potential of their business data. As part of our Scrum team, you develop integration modules to AI extension services and help securing and enhancing the usage of LLM’s for our customers. You work within our team and collaborate closely with other teams from our unit to deliver a homogenous AI experience to all our customers.
What you bring
Required qualifications are:
• Very good knowledge in Python
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms
• Strong experience in mentoring junior engineers
• Understanding of generative AI and Large Language Models
• Background in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• Fluent in English
• Minimum 5 years of work experience
Nice to have:
• Good German skills
• General knowledge of AI models, training and/or fine tuning, grounding, and inferencing
It is important to us that you are eager to learn about novel technologies in the context of AI, cloud native engineering, distributed systems, and DevOps.
This position requires regular office attendance in Potsdam aligned with the SAP Flex Mobility guidelines

Our team is an integral part of the SAP Business AI, serving as a pivotal enabler to the Intelligent Enterprise. We are driven by our mission to integrate the latest technology in AI, including, but not limited to generative AI, into all our enterprise applications, thereby empowering our customers to maximize the potential of their business data. Our AI Core unit is also the developer and provider of SAP’s Generative AI Hub and AI Launchpad.
