Über die Stelle

Als neues Mitglied eines hochqualifizierten und cross-funktionalen Teams bist Du für die Entwicklung einer Big Data-Anwendung zur Verkehrsüberwachung, insbesondere zur Beobachtung von Rastplätzen, verantwortlich.

Deine Aufgaben umfassen

  • Entwicklung und Wartung skalierbarer Big Data-Anwendungen: Entwirf, implementiere und betreibe skalierbare Big Data-Anwendungen zur Überwachung des Verkehrs auf Rastplätzen.
  • Sicherstellung von Datenschutz und Sicherheit: Stelle sicher, dass alle Prozesse den gesetzlichen Anforderungen an Datenschutz und Sicherheit entsprechen.
  • Ermöglichung des Datenzugriffs für Experten: Stelle Verkehrs- und GIS-Experten eine Plattform für Analyse- und Entscheidungsprozesse zur Verfügung.

Dein Profil

  • Starke Programmierkenntnisse mit mindestens 3 Jahren Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung, hauptsächlich in Python. Erfahrung mit C++ und/oder Java ist ein Plus.
  • Kenntnisse in Apache Flink und Apache Kafka.
  • Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Microservice-Architekturen, verteilten Systemen und RESTful APIs.
  • Vertrautheit mit Cloud Umgebungen, insbesondere AWS.
  • Umfassende Kenntnisse und Erfahrung in GIS, Streaming und Big Data.
  • Erfahrung mit TDD, BDD und Clean Code-Prinzipien sowie agiler Softwareentwicklung
  • Sicheres Deutsch in Wort und Schrift
  • Bachelor-Abschluss in einem MINT-Fach, Software Engineering oder einer ähnlichen Disziplin. Fortgeschrittene Abschlüsse sind von Vorteil

About the position

As the newest member of a highly skilled and cross-functional team, you will be responsible for a big data application for traffic monitoring, in particular rest area observation.

Your tasks may include:

  • Develop and Maintain Scalable Big Data Applications: Design, implement, and operate scalable big data applications to monitor traffic in rest areas.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Ensure all processes comply with legal requirements for data privacy and security.
  • Facilitate Expert Data Access: Provide accessible data to traffic and GIS experts for analysis and decision-making.

Your profile

  • Strong programming skills with a minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience, primarily in Python. Experience with C++ and/or Java is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Apache Flink and Apache Kafka.
  • Proven experience in developing microservice architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud systems, particularly AWS.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in GIS, Streaming, and Big Data.
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, and clean code principles.
  • Proficiency in an agile development environment.
  • Ability to speak German professionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, software engineering, or a similar discipline. Advanced degrees are preferred.
