This is a German Copywriter position, working with German internal teams and clients. Therefore, a strong understanding of the German language and ability to write and communicate in German is required. Working proficiency of the English language is also preferred, for communication with wider, non-German DEPT® teams.

This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients on eBay 

JOB PURPOSE:

You will work across different digital channels, developing concepts and providing creative and innovative copy that drives clicks and engagement.

You’ll be writing compelling marketing copy about trading cards, sneakers, your favourite TV shows, the most unique and exclusive products, and so much more. Working closely with the Senior Copywriter and our creative team, you’ll find yourself challenged to go beyond your comfort zone. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create clear, effective, and original copy and content for our clients onsite marketingDevelop creative ideas and concepts across various channels where applicableAdhere to clients' tone of voice and brand guidelines Research competitors and trends for creative inspirationCollaborate with design and account managementContribute to team creative brainstorms

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Mastery of German language and grammarUnderstanding of UK and US English1-3 years of experience as a copywriter is a must, and a background in agency or brand is preferredExperience in the e-commerce/retail environment is a plusIn-depth knowledge of multi-channel digital copy and brand development, especially a background in social media content and copywritingAbility to write compelling marketing and content copy that sellsConfidence in working with other departments and stakeholders such as designers, developers, and clientsReadiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with many assetsAn understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journeyAbility to present work to large groups and communicate ideas clearly and enthusiasticallyA collaborative approach to getting things done
