Sustainability Officer
As with the Senior Sustainability Officer, this role will work closely with the Property Sustainability Team to support teams across the organisation in implementing our current Environmental Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon Strategy.
The Sustainability Officer will support the development of implementation plans, KPIs and delivery, seeking funding, measuring progress and reporting environmental and sustainability policy and standards in line with Anchor’s sustainability strategy and will support projects and initiatives that achieve the aims of Anchor’s sustainability strategy, which we are launching in 2023/24.
Being within Property & Assets, there will be a particular focus on developing and implementing policy and best practices for our homes and estates, to address fuel poverty, wellbeing and deliver net zero carbon and energy use reduction. The role works with the Energy Team as well as Portfolio Strategy, Business Intelligence, Asset Investment, Building Safety, and Asset & Repairs delivery teams. This post will undertake bids for retrofit grant funding and will support the monitoring and reporting arrangements that review the progress and effectiveness of grant funded projects.
You have:
A recognised energy / sustainability / buildings / engineering-related qualification such as a degree in a relate discipline or a qualification from for example the Energy Institute, or similarly qualified by relevant experience. Experience in an energy management or sustainability related role (essential) Experience developing and interpreting project documents such as project plans, reports, risk registers Experience developing and writing successful grant funding bids Experience monitoring, evaluating and reporting on grant funded projects – in particular social housing retrofit projects Experience in working with residents or other wide-ranging customer groups Ability to source and assemble accurate data sets Ability to analyse trends and draw out recommendations, presenting data in a clear concise manner with clear evidence-based conclusions Attention to detail Ability to problem solve proactively providing creative and innovative solutions Good level of literacy and numeracy Good communicator who adapts style to audience Good analytical and decision-making skills Ability to drive forward initiatives and projects using project management skillsSS
