WaveLight GmbH is a global leader in developing and producing innovative laser systems for use in eye surgery, as well as surgical planning and image guidance for cataract surgeries. Since 2009, WaveLight has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcon, enabling gentle and highly precise correction of vision impairment.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the role of Technical Product Specialist (m/w/d) focusing on technical customer service processes, service concept development, and IT network issues in Teltow, near Berlin:
In this role, a typical day will include:
Development of medical devices with a focus on Technical Customer Service processes Creation and implementation of service concepts in products Handling product-specific and general IT network issues Development of content and materials for manuals and documents for Technical Support Creation of training materials for global customer service, acting as a trainer and coach for the global customer service team, and providing support for technical questions from the fieldWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Technical degree in engineering or equivalent/comparable technologies with ongoing training through corporate product training and on-the-job training Fluent in English (spoken and written) Strong knowledge in IT network configurations (e.g., WLAN, LAN) and the use of scripts for automation Experience with configuration and troubleshooting at the Microsoft Windows® operating system level Ability to interact in groups and teams (including cross-cultural) with responsibility and the capability to independently solve problems and tasksNICE TO HAVE:
Good proficiency in German (spoken and written) Experience in creating technical documentation and developing medical devices Expertise in customer service, field service, technical support, and training in the medical device sector Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment, particularly medical devices, with knowledge of MDR(s) and ISO13485 standardsHOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:
