Technical Analyst

Wrisk is reinventing insurance for today's digital consumer based on a vision that insurance ought to be simple, transparent and personal. The insurance platform developed by Wrisk combines the best customer experience, modern technology, insurance know-how and a unique distribution strategy for the automotive sector. Having already created differentiated insurance experiences in the UK for brands like BMW, MINI, RAC and heycar, Wrisk is now looking to expand platform capability to target other markets, initiatives and territories.
We're in search of a Technical Analyst, a key player in optimizing the development and deployment of our Wrisk platform in Germany and wider Europe. The individual we seek will shoulder the responsibility of lending their technical prowess and analytical skills towards the design, execution, and upkeep of the Wrisk platform. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the strategies for our platform align seamlessly with our business objectives, through meticulous system requirements analysis and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of proven experience in a technical analyst role, with experience in platform requirements and analysis.
- Experience within the Insurance domain (Germany)
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams that include developers, designers, and business analysts.
- While not mandatory, having experience in insurance or related industries can provide valuable context.
- Proficiency in gathering business requirements and converting them into technical specifications.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum can be beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Data Analysis: Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends, issues, or opportunities.
- SQL/Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database querying languages like SQL to extract and manipulate data.
- Programming Languages: A basic understanding of programming languages like Python can be helpful for deeper technical analysis.
- Software Tools: Proficiency in tools like Jira, Excel, and data visualization software for tracking tasks and presenting data.
- API Understanding: Basic understanding of API functionalities, interactions, and how they integrate with different platforms.
- Technical Writing: Skill in crafting clear and concise technical documents, including requirements specifications and technical reports.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to understand how various components of a platform interact and affect one another.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git for tracking changes in code or documentation.

- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for relaying complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in analyzing data and writing requirements.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify problems and come up with practical solutions.
