Of course, this won't happen overnight. It needs talented people like you. As Head of Quality (m/f/d), you have a holistic responsibility or the integrated Management System, Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Quality of products and processes has highest priority, as we supply the world leading brands. Today we operate a quality management system according to ISO 9001. In the future we plan to extend this with additional certifications following the requirements of our customers from different industries.

Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:

• Develop and lead the implementation of AMSilk’s quality management system in line with ISO standards, customers’ requirements and the company’s strategy and policies
• Establish and enhance quality control processes at the sites of our production partners related in the fields of biotechnology, fiber spinning, and fast-moving consumer goods while building and maintaining deep relationships with our customers
• Establish and supervise internal quality assurance processes to meet the needs and expectations of our customers
• Initiate root cause analysises of deviations in terms of quality standards and management systems while identifying improvement and preventive measures internally and with stakeholders
• Lead AMSilk’s quality team and cultivate the development of the team

Your areas of knowledge and expertise are:

• At least 10 years of professional experience as Head of Quality or corresponding role
• Proven experience leading a quality function of an international company with industrial production and outsourced production
• Experience in negotiation with large international stakeholders, such as CMO's
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, in particular ISO 9001
• Education as Quality Manager or Auditor
• Work experience in biotech, chemical industry and/or fiber spinning industry would be a plus
• Fluent language skills in German and English

About us

AMSilk is the world's first industrial supplier of smart biotech materials by applying an outstanding technology platform based on silk proteins. AMSilk turns man-made proteins into silk formulations including fiber, hydrogels and silk powder for applications in the textile industry as well as for medical devices and consumer goods. All AMSilk materials are created with an end of life in mind, being completely vegan, biodegradable, using renewable plant-based carbon, with no microplastics.
