Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Sitting at the intersection of our Go-to-Market and Global Sourcing this role will be responsible for influencing and steering our global demand. This individual will own the communication and facilitation of such between each of the Outdoor BU’s International Regions, Product Marketing, and Global Operations. Thus ensuring optimal purchase order flow and maximum efficiency across our production landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gameplan to reduce the complexity of the Outdoor BU in its relationship with our global production partners
- Oversee the development and provide reporting on global volume developments and ensure these volumes support the SBP of the business. Identify gaps and work with markets accordingly to align volumes.
- Develop and Drive a Global Risk Buy Strategy
- Facilitate monthly calls with each market to provide an environment to share and discuss latest information with market planning counterparts.
- Communicate and Coordinate Retail Intro Date or Buy Ready Date changes to the global markets to ensure communication to commercial teams is clear.
- Aggregate buy volumes on semi-monthly basis for minimum order consolidation and work with markets on options to process.
- Run market analysis for problem solving as it pertains to non forecasted and buys inside leadtime. Communicate and facilitate directly with respective market on corrective actions.
- Coordinate all pull forward requests with market business units and Global Operations to ensure capacity is utilized and all necessary buys are accepted. Drives for resolution when necessary.
- Interface with international markets and Global Operations on exception based urgent requirements including but not limited to PO delays and unforecasted product necessary to support customer and financial goals. Escalate to market or Global Ops heads as needed.
- Provides ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of supply chain process from development of product through order fulfilment, with emphasis on supply planning and inventory control processes.
- Good understanding of the adidas go-to-market sell-in and demand planning process and systems
- Clear ability to influence and manage stakeholders around the globe
- Abiltiy to think creatively and apply this creativity in authoring solutions
- A bias for action
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to look at numbers and draw conclusions about actions to be taken.
- Ability to locate and analyze data from a variety of sources to ensure that planning decisions are made based upon the most accurate information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with relational databases (i.e. MS Access, Business Objects, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks.
- Commitment to meeting absolute deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Interpersonal skills suited to dealing courteously and professionally with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, in writing and orally.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in business or a related field or 5+ years related experience in global supply planning, operations/supply chain management, and/or inventory management.
- Excellent English (written/spoken)
