Our employees conduct research in the areas of energy, environment, safety, health, communication and mobility.
Our team »Energy Process Technology« investigates the transformation of industrial energy supply systems with a focus on process heat supply. As part of your Master's thesis, you will investigate the extent to which waste heat in breweries can be reused and latently stored using energy technology process routes. If you wish, you can also start as a student assistant in advance.
What you will do
- Literature research on concepts for the upgrading and integration of waste heat
- Modeling and simulation of the different process routes with latent heat storage
- Comparison, analysis and evaluation of the routes based on the simulation results
What you bring to the table
- Studies in the field of energy technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, engineering or a comparable subject area
- Good knowledge of themodynamics
- Ideally previous knowledge of modeling and simulation (Modelica)
- Motivation to develop your own ideas and questions and to integrate them into your work
- Ability to work independently and enjoy teamwork
