About your role:

  • Work in a highly team-oriented environment in very close collaboration with the user community
  • Develop and actively pursue an own inhouse research programme
  • Help with the user support at P
  • Participation in the ongoing development of the beamline P as a world-wide leading coherent X-ray scattering beamline and in the preparation for a successful transfer of P from PETRA Ill to PETRA IV

Limited: 3 years

About you:

  • PhD in physics or equivalent qualification
  • Profound knowledge and expertise of (coherent) X-ray diffraction methods (like e.g. Bragg CDI, CDI, Ptychography or XPCS)
  • High-level experimental skills are required
  • Experimental experience at 3rd generation synchrotron sources is required
  • Strong interest in software (multi-core/CUDA) or instrumentation development would be an asset
  • Good team worker
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
