What's the role?
In this role You are the leader of our multi-disciplinary team in Mechatronics within Corporate Research & Technology. You are responsible for shaping the innovation roadmap for the mid-to-long-term and driving the definition and execution of projects. Your exceptional leadership and coaching skills enable you to recruit and develop outstanding talents for the organization.

What does the role involve?
The Mechatronics team is responsible to develop proof-of-concepts for new products and services for the organization, leveraging diverse areas of expertise in the field of Mechatronics, Robotics, Sensing, and Control and State estimation algorithms.
Together with your team, you identify innovation opportunities and you craft and implement a technology roadmap. You are confident managing teams while setting budgets, timelines, and operational targets for running R&D projects.
Your interpersonal skills allow you to successfully collaborate and align with the different Business Units in the organization. You develop and nurture a strong external network with Academia and Industry to support R&D collaborations. You coach your team members to support their development and individual growth within the organization.

What you need is:
PhD in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar. 5+ years of relevant experience in Industry/Academia, with demonstrated growth in product development and/or engineering research. Technical expertise in at least one: Mechatronics solutions, Tools design and prototyping, Control System and State estimation 2-3 years of prior direct line management experience Excellent project management skills. Familiarity with modern project governance frameworks and tools (Agile, Jira, . Good business acumen and strategic mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English. Comfortable with initiating and nurturing new connections in a matrix organization. Collaborative mindset, capable of coaching, motivating and leading by example.
