Working student position in "International CKD Logistics Planning" from June 2024

Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest suppliers of premium and luxury cars and vans.
Together with our partners in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia, we, the "International CKD Logistics Planning & End-2-End Standards" team, design the international CKD supply chain for Mercedes-Benz Cars - i.e. the "Completely Knocked Down" shipment of vehicle kits to various foreign plants.
As part of strategic projects, we develop holistic logistics concepts and adapt our logistics infrastructure to constantly changing conditions. This includes the planning and implementation of new logistics centers in Germany and abroad as well as the development and implementation of new delivery concepts for our CKD plants overseas.
We also ensure that our global CKD supply chain becomes even more powerful and efficient. To this end, we tender logistics services with high strategic relevance, which enable the cost-optimized operation of the consolidation centers in our global network. We also analyze global supply chain costs, forecast them for future vehicle models and use them to support strategic and operational decision-making processes. We also develop packaging that meets the special requirements of CKD shipping. We always work closely with our colleagues in the operational teams who manage the daily supply of production materials to the CKD plants.
We are always looking for active student support for our team. You will always be supervised by an experienced employee who will train you, provide you with advice and support and give you regular feedback.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Working on a variety of planning tasks in a dynamic project environment and gaining insights into project management Direct contact and exchange with our international partners in the CKD Supply Chain Taking on tasks and sub-projects under your own responsibility, such as analyzing data and processes to develop logistics concepts Preparation of presentations and decision papers for management Cooperative management style, flat hierarchies and open interaction within the team Qualifikationen Degree in industrial engineering / business administration or a comparable course of study, ideally with a focus on logistics Initial practical experience in logistics or supply chain management Affinity for conceptual challenges as well as the analysis and optimization of costs and / or processes Confident written and spoken German and English skills Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and openness - also in an international context Interest in intercultural cooperation as well as the analysis and optimization of complex logistics supply chains Independent and goal-oriented way of working Quick comprehension, enthusiasm and commitmentAdditional information:
