Are you studying a STEM degree program and interested in writing a thesis with a strong connection to electromobility? Do you enjoy working at the interface between pre/development, production and quality?
Then an exciting field in the area of electromagnetic simulation awaits you from August 4.
We in the process development team for electric drives are part of the planning and production technology center for the powertrain at the Untertürkheim site. In cooperation with the other teams, we provide the latest and most innovative technologies in the production environment and ensure the maturity level through to series production. In addition to many production and metrological issues, our team also deals with further questions from the areas of development and quality. We also develop innovative manufacturing methods and processes for high-quality powertrain applications. As part of a technology project for future drive systems, we are looking for a graduate student with a focus on process development for winding systems of axial flux machines as soon as possible.
Your tasks will include
Literature research in the areas of electromagnetic manufacturing influences of electric drive technology, winding losses, AC effects, etc. Analysis of the processability of different wire geometries Design and manufacture of tools for the construction of test specimens Construction of the test specimens Electromagnetic measurement of the test specimens Derivation of recommendations for the production of coils Qualifikationen Degree course: Natural sciences, engineering, technical or a comparable degree course with a specialization in electrical engineering, electrical drive technology, electromobility, etc. Confident written and spoken German and English skills Confident handling of MS Office Commitment and ability to work in a team Analytical mindset and strategic way of working Very good technical understanding and manual skills Experience in working with CAD programs Experience in the characterization of electrical components Personal skills: Affinity for technology and enthusiasm for mobility, structured and goal-oriented way of working, analytical skills, committed way of working and strong teamwork skills, high level of communication skills Other: Class B driver's licenseAdditional information:
