Join us.TasksAECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Energy Technical Lead to join our growing Energy Transition team in Germany. The role focuses on driving growth and excellence across our energy portfolio, particularly within the following sub-markets: electrical grid modernization, energy generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and heat networks - covering the full project lifecycle.As Technical Lead, you will lead energy projects, organize and supervise technical delivery in Germany, ensure technical excellence including skills and capabilities development and be a growth leader and advocate of AECOM in Germany through trusted relationships with existing and new energy clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and StrategyLead, develop, and implement AECOM's Energy strategy in GermanyBuild and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.Drive business development activities to expand AECOM's energy transition portfolio.Define and execute clear project and program delivery strategies.Project Delivery and Technical ExcellenceLead multidisciplinary teams across regions and business lines.Ensure that technical solutions comply with German and EU regulations, grid codes, safety, and environmental standards.Oversee the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.Provide expert guidance and serve as lead verifier for feasibility studies, design reports, and technical documentation.Ensure accurate technical and financial reporting to senior leadership.Manage contracts and ensure full compliance with AECOM and client requirements.Team Development and InnovationBuild, mentor, and lead AECOM's Energy team in Germany.Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and digital innovation.Support technical skills development and capability building within the team.Champion operational excellence and best practices in energy project delivery.ProfileProfile:Proven experience delivering complex energy projects within the German energy sector.Strong technical expertise in HV/MV/LV electrical systems.Degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in High Voltage Electrical Engineering.Data Center experience is an advantage.Minimum 15 years of professional experience, ideally within the energy sector (public and/or private).Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with authorities, network operators, contractors, and suppliers.Excellent communication skills in both German and English. you are passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.Join our team-where we don't just build infrastructure, but also uplift communities and enhance lives.Follow our AECOM Energy page on LinkedIn to stay updated on the impactful projects we're delivering and see firsthand the difference we're making in the industry.We offerWe offer you an exciting role in an international company with a flat hierarchy and a pleasant working atmosphere.
