**Why we're hiring**:
WPP has selected Workday as it's strategic solution for Financials, PSA and HCM replacing existing legacy ERP systems in a number of countries.

The Workday Technical Lead is responsible for:

- Leading solution architects and technical business analysts assigned to the Workday implementation programme.
- Ensuring alignment of Workday technical solution to WPP architecture, security and technology standards.
- Tracking technical project deliverables and reporting status to the Workday Programme Office
- Ensuring all the work activities associated with the design, build, testing and implementation of the Workday technical solution are correctly documented, audited and signed-off

**What you'll be doing**:

- Manage Workday technical team including lead solution architects and technical business analysts
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, Workday programme functional leads, 3rd Party System Integrators and WPP IT Strategy & Architecture, Platform Services and Service Management
- Responsible analysing business requirements and extracting information of Workday implementation importance
- Responsible for the delivery and reporting of Workday technical workstream deliverables.
- Responsible for the discovery, design, development and testing of technical integrations for the Workday deployment
- Ensuring that technical solution deliverables are documented including requirements, design and testing
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Workday functional and testing teams_ _
- Provide technical governance and guidance to the WPP and 3rd Party implementation teams to ensure alignment of the developed solution to the overall Workday solution design.
- Ensure developed solutions meet business, technical and operational support requirements.
- Provide architecture support to the WPP Workday implementation and support teams establishing the future business as usual (BAU)/Target operating model organization to govern and maintain proper controls over the technical architecture landscape

**What you'll need**:

- Background in driving standards in an organization of relevant size, complexity and scale
- In depth knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodologies. TOGAF desired but not essential
- Experience in equivalent technical implementation role on complex system and business change project
- Knowledge of Finance and HR processes and policies
- Workday implementation experience (or ERP equivalent, Oracle/SAP, etc)
- Good understanding of enterprise integration preferably Workday and/or Informatica (or equivalent ERP)
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solution to business and non-technical audiences
- Experience in Business Intelligence (reporting) in the HR, Finance and Project domains
- Experience in Operational design and support
- Experience with enterprise-scale testing (e.g., user, stress, regression, etc.)
- Experience with foundational and modern SDLC methods (e.g., Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
- Confidence to provide inspirational leadership in challenging situations, able to influence executive level management
- Highly motivated, flexible team player and manager with the ability to deliver in a timely and professional manner
