This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical depth in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.You will ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable data pipelines and models, works effectively with cross-functional partners, and operates with strong ownership and engineering excellence.Your responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative cultureOwn the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines supporting B2C marketing, B2B marketing, and commercial domainsPromote best practices in data architecture, data modeling, testing, and observabilityProvide hands-on technical guidance and review complex Python, SQL, and dbt implementations when neededEnsure reliable and scalable data flows across tracking, attribution, customer journeys, and performance reportingCollaborate closely with Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams to translate business needs into robust data solutionsDrive continuous improvements in data quality, cost efficiency, and engineering standardsProfilProven experience leading and developing Data Engineers (first-line management), combined with a strong hands-on background in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practicesExperience working with cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools, including technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, AWS (S3, Lambda), Redshift or similar data warehouses, Kafka or other event-driven systems, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform)Familiarity with marketing and commercial data sources such as GA4, Adjust, or comparable tools is a strong advantageAbility to build and operate stable, scalable, and well-tested data pipelines and high-quality data models with strong documentation and observabilityExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling trusted collaboration with Marketing, Product, Commercial, Analytics, and Data teamsDemonstrated focus on continuous improvement in data quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and overall engineering maturityWir bietenWe're a community here that cares as much about your life outside work as how you feel when you're with us.
