Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Deutschland Oliver Wyman Vollzeit

Oliver Wyman's Retail and Consumer Goods Practice addresses the full spectrum of challenges and opportunities faced by retailers and consumer goods companies. From defining strategic differentiators and creating compelling customer propositions to optimizing cost structures, we help shape transformative strategies, drive operational excellence, and unlock remarkable organizational value—all within the context of a rapidly evolving consumer landscape and increasingly competitive market.

We are now looking for outstanding professionals with expertise in the Retail & Consumer Goods sector to join our dynamic and vibrant team in this space.
This is your opportunity for a rewarding, long-term career within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment —where your impact will be valued and your professional growth actively supported.

The Role And Responsibilities
Experienced professionals bring us the know-how to make lasting change for our clients and our company. We are not typical 'management' consultants. We provide industry- and discipline-specific knowledge and expertise, which amplifies our impact and helps us shape the future for our clients. Oliver Wyman is a diverse and entrepreneurial partnership of individuals who like to pursue new opportunities or build a unique franchise doing what they do best in a collegial, fun environment.

ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS
are the on-scene leaders who run our projects day to day. You will lead the team through an efficient and effective problem-solving process from initial hypothesis based on deep industry and function know-how through convergence on a solution. You will ensure that recommendations are bold, practical, relevant and cohesive. It's a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level – and command of project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. You will need great communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.

Your Attributes And Experience
Clients hire Oliver Wyman for strategy design and deep expertise. The ideal candidate will have most of the following:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization) or with industry experience from a strategy department or in-house consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Retail & Consumer Goods industry.
  • A strong background in strategic problem solving.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
  • Willingness to travel part of the working week.
  • Know-how to take the initiative, seek out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you've already got to great use.
  • Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you'll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients' biggest problems.
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team.

WHY WORK AT OLIVER WYMAN?
Working as part of our global, entrepreneurial company, you will do meaningful work from day one. We are looking for individuals who challenge the norm, and constantly strive to build something new for the firm and the world around us.

At Oliver Wyman, there's no "one size fits all" - we hire exceptional people and help them thrive through a built-in support network, flexible career paths, and no artificial barriers to advancement.

We have a collaborative, supportive and impactful team environment - we want you to bring your authentic self and enjoy working alongside diverse and down-to-earth colleagues who do serious work, but don't take themselves too seriously.
