Your RoleHelp design, build, and improve our data infrastructure, focusing on back-end architecture, database management, and orchestration systems.
Collaborate on data pipelines and services built with Python, PostgreSQL, Airflow, and AWS services (ECS, Fargate, ECR, S3, RDS).
Contribute to implementing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), observability, and CI/CD practices (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Take part in architecting and optimizing data models, managing schema design, and performing migrations with tools like SQLAlchemy and Alembic.
Help develop and maintain microservices and APIs to connect data systems with internal and external platforms.
Work with engineering, taxonomy, and platform teams to define data contracts and support reliable data flows.
Apply cybersecurity standards, operational excellence, and consistency in data versioning and monitoring where appropriate.
Contribute ideas to architectural planning, support technical mentorship, and help shape the evolving direction of the data organization.
Hands-on experience in Python and PostgreSQL, including database design, modeling, and optimization.
Knowledge of orchestration tools (such as Airflow) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) is a plus.
Understanding of core data architecture principles, normalization, migrations, and query tuning.
Experience developing or maintaining APIs and microservices in cloud environments is welcome.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/observability in production systems is beneficial.
Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and data governance in distributed data systems is helpful.
Ability to work independently on data engineering tasks and collaborate well within teams in a lean technical landscape.
