Junior Frontend Engineer

Code Gaia is looking for an early-career software engineer to help us transform European businesses. The position is with the Emission Engineers, our 6-person engineering squad specialising in environmental data computations.
At Code Gaia, you will work on improving our SaaS application for sustainability management. You will improve the Carbon & Metrics module in our SaaS app, which allows users to gather environmental data and compute their CO2 footprint, along with other environmental indicators. You will add functionalities for managing and analysing environmental data. Your responsibilities will initially be focused on frontend development, but can progressively expand across our tech stack.

• Shape Europe's sustainable transformation by empowering small and medium enterprises to achieve their sustainability goals
• Build and design with a and TypeScript stack
• Collaborate with your colleagues to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Code and launch new features and improve existing functionalities
• Create end-to-end tests to ensure a robust and reliable solution
• Keep learning and expanding your area of responsibility, with the support of your manager

• You hold a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• You have initial professional experiences in frontend development, including working with a web framework like
• You have a basic understanding of the underlying web technologies like HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript
• You are motivated to keep growing your skillset and can see yourself working in other technical areas, such as backend development, in the future
  A Plus:
• You have experience writing end-to-end tests with Cypress or similar
• You have professional experience writing TypeScript
• You can productively work in the backend with a Python / Django stack
