The Role

We are looking for a Principal to join the Visionaries Tomorrow team as a true co-entrepreneur in building one of Europe's leading deep tech funds. You will operate across the entire VC value chain (sourcing, selecting, winning, and supporting) to back the next generation of industrial deep tech founders rebuilding the fundamentals of the world's physical industries.

At Visionaries Tomorrow, we build conviction from first principles. We challenge ourselves to think in civilization-scale impact, strive to understand what truly drives founders, and connect them with today's industrial giants to supercharge their journey to global scale.

It's a unique opportunity to:

• Back the most ambitious early-stage founders in industrial deep tech.

• Shape the trajectory of a fund still in its formative years, with real ownership over investment decisions, portfolio strategy, and how we continuously innovate as a firm.

• Operate at the intersection of frontier technology, industrial reality, and non-consensus views of the future.

What You'll Do

• You'll identify, evaluate, win, and support the most ambitious early-stage founders in industrial deep tech across Europe and the US.

• Build conviction from first principles: think deeply about industry's most fundamental problems, turn uncomfortable truths into non-consensus theses, and drive investment decisions end-to-end.

• Partner closely with founders post-investment, leveraging our industrial LP base to supercharge their roadmap to global scale.

• Shape the fund's thematic edge across and beyond energy, compute, embodied AI, and advanced materials, and identify where the next wave of technological compounding will begin.

• Engage with select industrial LPs to uncover real pain points, understand what it takes for solutions to scale, and exchange frontier insights from across the early-stage deep tech space.

• Expand our footprint in key ecosystems to find where the most ambitious builders meet, and help strengthen local deep tech clusters.

Who You Are

• You share a deep belief in the transformative potential of technology and a desire to help build something enduring, both within our portfolio and within Visionaries Tomorrow itself.

• 3+ years of experience in early-stage deep tech with a track record of backing and/or building at the bleeding edge of (hard) tech.

• A first-principles thinker with strong analytical depth and curiosity for novel technology, able to see beyond consensus and connect technology, markets, and inevitable change.

• Entrepreneurial by nature: you don't just join a fund, you help build one.

• Founder-first in conviction and character: you build trust through authenticity and depth, respect the weight of the founder journey, and show up through the highs and lows.

• Exceptional communicator: capable of breaking down complex technologies into their fundamental parts and explaining why they matter for industry and humanity.

• High EQ and low ego: Always optimizing for the best possible outcome and equally comfortable engaging with founders, investors, and executives of industrial incumbents.
