GER - Procurement - Project purchaser

In order to support one of our strategic customer located in France and developping his activity in Germany, we are looking for a project purchaser.

Our customer, one of the leaders as industrial integrators for Rank 1 industrials / companies design and manufactures assembly lines, plateforms, special machines and heavy specific mechano welded tooling.

The buyer of the Germany office works under the responsibility of the Purchasing Director located at the company's headquarters in France. Decisions on the industrial organization of German projects will be taken in collaboration between the "family" buyers at the headquarters and the buyer from the German office. The buyer is integrated into the German customer team; he/she will be the only relay of the Service on the German office and is responsible for the right application of the purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• He or she manages a local suppliers panel in relation to the needs of projects carried out in Germany

o carries out sourcing, benchmarking and supplier approval actions upstream of the projects' needs,

o It ensures enhanced monitoring through regular visits to the facilities of key suppliers,

o The concerned purchases include consulting services, commercial parts, subcontractors for mechanical manufacturing, mechanical assembly and site resources, subcontractors for electrical installations and piping networks, for general supplies for the construction site of our projects for the office,

• He or she manages consultations and purchases in relation with "family" buyers and workpackage leaders of project teams and bidding teams

o Focal point for consultations, carries out the analysis, the technical, economic and contractual alignments of the solutions selected with the projects.

o Negotiates supplier terms and conditions

• He or she contracts, places orders and assists project managers in the contractual relationship with suppliers.

Profile expected :

• 3-5 years of experience in the purchasing or commercial field, ideally in industrial sectors such as railway, aeronautic, defense, automotive. You have skills in negociation, supplier management, call for tenders, scouting suppliers, problem solving.

Technical skills / understanding in mechanical, tooling is appreciated

• Language German, fluent

• Language English, level B2

• Knowledge of SAP ERP software appreciated

• Occasional travel to be expected
