MISSIONS

The Strategic Purchasing Department acts as an internal service provider for the entire Akiem group. The purchasing function is strategic with more than 300 million euros of OPEX and CAPEX in 2023. The performance of the strategic purchasing function is a key component of the quality and performance Akiem delivers to its customers. The Strategic Purchaser supports mainly the Maintenance & Services Business Unit all around Europe  (mainly in Germany, France, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, Italy).  

The main activities are mainly related to the following commodity groups: 

Components transportation 

• Suppliers sourcing 
• Specifications definition in close cooperation with internal customers Tender
• Contractual signatures
• Contract monitoring: Organize and lead regular meetings with the internal project team and suppliers (quarterly or monthly)
• Ensure that the daily performance of its suppliers is in line with commitments and objectives (quality, costs, deadlines) through the monitoring of NC KPIs and action plans in conjunction with the dedicated quality department.
• Monitor contracts, ensure that supplier performance is improved and that tools are implemented to manage this purchasing family.
• Contract renewal and / or new tender 

Components revision / repair, new components & consumables 

• To monitor part of the existing contracts
• To define procurement strategies per commodity group
• To write the specifications documents in close cooperation with the technical department (ECM and asset management);
• To manage the tenders including the suppliers offers evaluation et the recommendation
• To negotiate with suppliers in an international context. 

Quality / CSR 

• Monitor and systematize the usage of quality purchasing tools (supplier qualification forms, Specifications and tender process, monitoring of contractual deadlines, creation of supplier accounts) 
• To Deploy our Group CSR and Responsible Purchasing approach incl. Ecovadis, Provigis platforms and supplier code of business conduct 
• To conduct suppliers regular audits 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in strategic
  procurement.  Minimum 5 years of experience. 
• The candidate must demonstrate: 
  Curiosity and sense of initiative; 
  Good communication skills 
  Team spirit 
  Intercultural  
  Knowledge of the Railway or transport sector 
  Method and rigor; 
• Fluent
  in German and English or French. 

Position in the organization chart 

This role will  report to the Head of Strategic Procurement Akiem
Maintenance & services BU. This mission will be carried out at Akiem's
premises in Krefeld - Germany.  Regular trips are expected in Europe. This role has a functional link
with the other departments of the company, including technical and quality.
