SPS Programmer/Electronics Technician for Automation Technology, Westendstraße 199, Munich, Bavaria 80686 Germany

This role requires an experienced professional to handle both
PLC programming (Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3)
for test benches and
IT network support
within a laboratory environment. The primary focus is the development, optimization, and maintenance of automation solutions, coupled with responsibility for the lab's IT infrastructure, including
TISAX compliance
and secure
measurement data handling
and analysis. Candidates must possess deep knowledge of automation systems, fieldbus technologies (e.g., EtherCAT, Modbus), HMI/SCADA (e.g., Webfactory), and experience reading/creating electrical schematics (
EPLAN
). Strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and self-reliance are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Programming (Beckhoff PLC):
    Development and adaptation of control software (Beckhoff-SPS) for test bench development.
  • Automation Optimization:
    Optimization of existing automation solutions during live operations.
  • IT Responsibility for Laboratory Network:
    Serving as the IT lead, including installation, configuration, procurement, and management of IT hardware and software components.
  • IT Security & Availability:
    Ensuring IT security and system availability, including implementing and adhering to TISAX IT security guidelines.
  • Data Handling & Analysis:
    Managing, analyzing, and processing measurement data from test benches and test facilities. Implementing machinery hour tracking.
  • Maintenance & Testing:
    Performing functional tests, fault analysis, and necessary maintenance work.
  • TISAX Compliance:
    Overseeing TISAX compliance within the laboratory, including the secure handling of data carriers.
  • Infrastructure Support:
    Assisting in the setup of control cabinets and PLC controls.
  • Documentation:
    Creating and maintaining IT documentation for operations, maintenance, and audits.
  • Component Management:
    Procuring and organizing SPS components to ensure timely availability for projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    Engineer or Technician with a focus on
    Automation Technology
    or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience:
    Several years of professional experience in
    programming
    , control engineering, and regulation technology.
  • PLC Programming:
    Deep knowledge of
    PLC programming
    , specifically
    Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3
    and
    TwinSave
    .
  • Fieldbus Technologies:
    Familiarity with
    Fieldbus technologies
    such as
    Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT, and Modbus
    .
  • HMI/SCADA:
    Experience with
    HMI/SCADA systems
    (e.g.,
    Webfactory
    ).
  • Commissioning:
    Knowledge of commissioning and troubleshooting automated systems.
  • Schematics:
    Ability to read and create
    electrical schematics
    (e.g., using
    EPLAN
    ).
