Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Team Lead to lead our direct sales efforts in the Eastern Austrian and/or Southern German markets. This hybrid role combines individual sales responsibilities with team leadership, focusing exclusively on new client acquisition and market expansion for our PMS Cloud solution and integrated payment services.

What You'll Do
Actively contribute to the execution of the hospitality commercial strategy by:

  • Driving new logo acquisition and ARR growth in assigned territories.
  • Managing and developing a team of Business Developers focused on direct sales.
  • Executing the go-to-market strategy and ensuring operational excellence in the field.

As Individual Contributor

  • Own a personal sales quota focused on new logo acquisition.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, product presentations, contract negotiations, and closing.
  • Represent Planet in key sales meetings and pitches to secure strategic deals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

As Team Lead

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Developers to achieve targets (ARR, new logos, market openings).
  • Implement the commercial strategy locally, adapting it to market dynamics.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ramp-up of new team members.
  • Ensure adoption of sales processes, tools, and reporting (Salesforce, pipeline tracking).
  • Act as the operational link between field insights and global strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in sales or business development in hotel technology (PMS and/or payment).
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Deep understanding of the Austrian and/or German hospitality market.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
