Quandela is a European leader in photonic quantum computing. We deliver high-performance quantum processors—on-premise or through cloud access—enabling organizations to explore quantum advantage in optimization, simulation, and machine learning. As we scale to meet rapidly growing market demand, we are expanding our Sales Engineering organization to help enterprise, HPC centers, and research institutions adopt quantum technologies seamlessly.

As an Senior Technical Presales Engineer at Quandela, you will serve as the technical bridge between our sales team and prospective customers for the European region.
You will analyze complex HPC environments, evaluate workloads, and design tailored quantum system configurations that integrate smoothly with existing infrastructures.

Your mission is to help organizations understand how quantum computing fits within their HPC strategy, demonstrate the technical value of Quandela's photonic quantum platforms, and ensure strong technical qualification during the sales cycle.

This role is ideal for someone with deep HPC expertise and a passion for emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Discovery & Assessment

  • Engage with customers (HPC centers, industry R&D teams, national labs) to understand their infrastructure, workloads, and performance constraints.
  • Analyze hybrid HPC+quantum use cases and map them onto Quandela's hardware and software capabilities.
  • Evaluate customer readiness and propose integration strategies

2. Solution Architecture

  • Design quantum system configurations, including processors, control electronics, photonic modules, and integration with HPC orchestration frameworks.
  • Define resource sizing, hybrid workflow pipelines, and networking requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation and architecture diagrams for proposals.

3. Presales Support

  • Lead technical presentations, deep dives, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate, high-quality technical content.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure alignment between customer needs and Quandela's roadmap.

4. Performance Benchmarking & Demos

  • Run HPC and quantum benchmarks to demonstrate performance gains or hybrid efficiency.
  • Support customer pilots and on-premise deployments.
  • Partner with application engineers to create customized demos.

5. Customer Enablement

  • Train customer HPC teams on using Quandela's quantum SDK, simulators, and cloud platform.
  • Produce technical guides and onboarding materials.
  • Assist with early adoption and operationalization.
