We are looking for a

Technical Managing Director (m/f/d) in Binche, Belgium

Your tasks

  • As Technical Managing Director (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the efficient economic management and strategic development of the company. You will consistently implement the corporate goals of the Mewa Group and ensure compliance with all legal, safety-related and environmental requirements.
  • This entails translating Mewa's strategic objectives into site-level operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Safe and environmentally responsible management of all facilities and equipment, as well as for compliance with Mewa standards in the areas of sustainability and quality.
  • Your tasks will include managing, developing and supervising employees as well as promoting a continuous improvement process (CIP) using modern lean methods.
  • You will report regularly to the central departments of the parent company on technical and operational issues, proposed adjustments to central process specifications, investment proposals for optimising operational processes, and deviations in operations with regard to occupational safety, environmental protection and permits.
  • In addition, you will ensure that all relevant reports and notifications are prepared on time.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in engineering or economics (e.g. industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification and have several years of leadership experience at executive level in an industrial or service-oriented environment within an international corporation.
  • You have extensive knowledge of implementing and managing process optimisation as well as strategic corporate management and transformation, and are experienced in dealing with complex structures, matrix organisations and global stakeholders.
  • You bring entrepreneurial thinking, assertiveness and strong communication skills, as well as a high sense of responsibility for quality, safety and sustainability.
  • Fluency in German, English, Dutch and French.
