About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Sr GCP Security Engineer to lead cloud security transformation and Cloud Security Posture Reviews (CSPR) for enterprise clients. This role focuses on implementing GCP-native security controls, embedding DevSecOps practices, and helping clients meet regulatory and compliance goals in secure GCP environments.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead Cloud Security Posture Reviews (CSPR) and architecture assessments for clients across regulated and sensitive environments


• Design and implement GCP-native security architectures, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), VPC Service Controls, encryption, firewalling, and data loss prevention


• Define and deploy DevSecOps processes that integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., binary scanning, policy-as-code, secrets management)


• Collaborate with customer CISO, security engineering, and compliance teams to align cloud security strategies with organizational policies and risk frameworks


• Support workload protection using GCP services like Security Command Center (SCC), Cloud Armor, Workload Identity, and Confidential Computing


• Guide implementation of zero trust architectures, including context-aware access, Beyond Corp principles, and service identity


• Document security controls and ensure alignment with GDPR, BSI IT-Grund Schutz, and other EU regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications


• Proven expertise in GCP Security services and CSPR methodologies


• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, cybersecurity with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)


• Proven experience with DevSecOps methodologies and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with GCP security services including IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, KMS, Security Command Center


• Strong understanding of network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, DNS) and their implementation on GCP


• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation and security tool development


• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform


• Solid understanding of security monitoring, logging, and alerting concepts


• Familiarity with common security frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10)


• Certification: Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or equivalent (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSK).

REQUIRED Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in cloud security and related disciplines


• GCP networking services (VPC, Subnets, Routing, Peering, Interconnect, VPN)


• GCP security services (Cloud Armor, Cloud Firewall, VPC SC, IAP, Cloud DNS security)


• Container security in a Kubernetes/GKE environment (e.g., Network Policies)


• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and scripting languages like Python or Bash


• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)


• Good to have experience in DevSecOps


• Strong communication and presentation skills for client and executive engagements
