**Job Description**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AVD (Active Directory) Engineer to join our team. The AVD Engineer will play a critical role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's Active Directory infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure Active Directory, and related technologies to ensure the secure and efficient operation of our network.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Active Directory Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in AD.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or MCSE.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
- Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS).
- Knowledge of other cloud identity management solutions.
- Familiarity with directory services integration in hybrid environments.
Additional Information
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory services for the organization.
- Manage and administer Azure Active Directory to enable cloud-based services and secure authentication.
- Ensure high availability and performance of Active Directory services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory infrastructure.
- Implement and manage Group Policies to enforce security and compliance policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices for AD security.
- Assist in planning and executing Active Directory upgrades and migrations.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, taking proactive steps to optimize and improve the environment.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend
improvements and enhancements.
- Strong understanding of AD Attributes, LDAP Queries, PowerShell Scripting to Modify AD Attributes, Group Policy Analysis, GPO Configuration and item-level Targeting, Workstation Configurations, Browser Configuration Settings.
- Thorough functional understanding and ability to configure Active Directory Server Roles (CAs, IIS, File/Print, DNS).
- Working knowledge of GPOs, AD Sites, Replication Topology, and native AD troubleshooting tools.
- Implement and design a directory synchronization system for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions.
