Job Overview
As a Senior 2D Artist, you'll play a key role in shaping the visual evolution of Heroes vs. Hordes. From new heroes and enemies to environments, UI elements, and event artwork, your creations will drive the look and feel of both core gameplay and live ops content.

You'll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product managers to deliver artwork that not only looks amazing but also enhances player engagement, retention, and monetization.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile IP collaborations, such as our past integrations with Ghostbusters and Avatar: The Last Airbender, helping bring beloved franchises to life within the Heroes vs. Hordes universe.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation for Live Ops: Design and produce high-quality 2D assets — including new heroes, enemies, environments, icons, and UI elements — for ongoing events, seasonal campaigns, and feature updates.
• Event & IP Artwork: Create visuals for limited-time events and special IP collaborations (such as Ghostbusters and Avatar: The Last Airbender), ensuring seamless integration into the Heroes vs. Hordes world.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure all art supports gameplay clarity, performance, and player engagement goals.
• Visual Iteration & Feedback: Refine and evolve assets based on art direction, feedback, and performance data from live events.
• Maintain Visual Consistency: Uphold and expand the established art style while contributing fresh ideas for new content updates.
• Efficiency & Optimization: Deliver assets optimized for live production pipelines, balancing visual quality with technical performance across mobile platforms.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Tackle visual and thematic challenges in ways that enhance gameplay readability, player immersion, and retention.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in 2D art, with a focus on mobile games and a passion for prototyping and early-stage development.
• Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop and other industry-standard 2D art tools.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a 2D stylized art style and quick-turnaround game assets, especially for mobile games.
• Agility: Ability to adapt to different game concepts quickly, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality visuals on tight timelines.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
• Animation Skills: Experience with 2D animation, preferably with Spine.
• Passion for Gaming: A love for mobile games.

• UI Art: Ability to design polished, intuitive 2D interface elements and create clear, functional UI mockups that streamline implementation for developers.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Unity and hands-on experience collaborating with developers to seamlessly integrate and optimize art assets within the live game environment.
