As a 2D Character Artist at Wooga you will work closely with designers, engineers, product managers, producers, writers and other artists to create visually stunning, game characters for Wooga’s hit game - June's Journey You will have the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of game development, with access to our proprietary AI toolset, and trainings on it.

About the role:

- Ensure high-quality, photorealistic character designs with accurate anatomy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with writing and peers from character team to create a compelling cast for new storylines of June’s Journey, capturing personality, history and emotion.
- Create convincing characters poses and expressions and set them up in animation ready files.
- Create illustrations of compelling story moments with the games characters.
- Maintain consistency with the established art style, whilst infusing creativity and freshness within the realm of the style.
- Collaborating with team in maintaining and updating documentation.
- Open and ready to utilize Wooga's in-house AI technology as a finishing tool to bring artist-driven concepts to a final, polished state with greater efficiency.

About you:

- You have a strong portfolio of realistic character designs with accurate anatomy and a great sense of costume design, showing quality, taste, and the ability to create a photorealistic/believable look.
- You demonstrate a strong understanding of scale, proportion, human anatomy, surface properties, and the distribution and purpose of detail.
- You possess excellent rendering and design skills with the ability to adapt to established styles.
- You have proficient digital illustration skills with an advanced understanding of Photoshop.
- You have experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives and ensure alignment across departments.
- You can provide respectful and actionable feedback to colleagues and welcome constructive feedback given to you, with the ultimate goal of improving team performance and outcomes.
